Lady Bulldogs dominate individual awards

All hail the National University Lady Bulldogs!

The Big Three of the two-time defending UAAP Women’s Basketball Champions, the National University Lady Bulldogs, are set to dominate the regular season awarding ceremony.

Leading the cast is arguably the pound-for-pound, top collegiate cager in the game today, Afril Bernardino. The Lady Bulldogs skipper is set to be crowned with her third Most Valuable Player tiara after tallying an impressive 91.86 statistical points this season.

The graduating Lady Bulldog and National Team standout posted norms of 19.4 points (T-1st) on 52.8 percent shooting (second), 10.1 rebounds (fourth), 4.8 assists (T-1st), 4.6 steals (first), and 1.6 blocks (seconds) per contest. Joining her in the Mythical Five this season is teammate Gemma Miranda. The forward accumulated 79.46 SPs and will be the runner-up for the MVP plum this season. Third year center Jack Animam also joins her teammates in the All-UAAP team, finishing third in the MVP race with 72.21 SPs.
